I understand that the two chief advisers of Trump have been hatching a plot that would allow him to govern by decree, without Congress. This kind of scheme has worked before, in Germany, when the Reichstag voted to allow Hitler to rule by decree. The two advisers here are the reactionary über-creeps Stephen Miller and Russel Vought. Stephen Miller we know, an ambitious and bigoted sycophant, who has led the neo-nazi drive to put immigrants into concentration camps. Vought, an old co-conspirator of Miller in many far-right enterprises, is a Christian nationalist who has been working within the Trump regime to defund and dis-assemble the U.S. government so that the pseudo-christian theocrats can take over.
